The Honest Answer: It Depends (Here's On What)
Nobody loves that answer, so let's make it useful. Detailing is priced on time, product, and skill—and three things drive all of them: the size of your vehicle, its condition, and the services you actually need. Understand those and any quote you get, from us or anyone else, will make sense.
Factor 1: Vehicle Size
A compact sedan and a three-row Suburban are entirely different jobs. More panels to wash and polish, more carpet to extract, more glass, more time. That's why every detailer quotes by class: car / SUV-truck / XL or third-row.
Factor 2: Condition
Condition moves price more than anything else in Western New York:
- Pet hair embedded in carpet takes specialized tools and serious time
- Salt-stained carpets from a WNY winter need repeated hot-water extraction
- Kid messes — crushed snacks, juice spills, crayon — are their own category
- Months of road film and brine require chemical decontamination before any polish can happen
Factor 3: The Service Level
A maintenance wash, an interior detail, an exterior detail with decontamination and sealant, and a full detail are different scopes of work. Add-ons like headlight restoration, odor treatment, or ceramic coating change the picture again. The right detailer asks what your vehicle needs instead of upselling everything.
How to Get an Accurate Quote
Tell your detailer three things: what you drive, what condition it's in (be honest—we've seen it all), and what bothers you most about it. At HBHF we'll quote you straight over a call or text at (716) 574-9935—no games, no bait-and-switch, and the price we quote is the price you pay unless the vehicle is dramatically different than described.
Cheap Detailing Is Expensive
One warning: the lowest quote often means rushed work, diluted products, or brush damage that costs real money to correct later. Pay for the job done right once—your paint and your resale value will thank you.
